Elizabeth Warren’s Batty Plan to Nationalize . . . Everything

Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts has one-upped socialists Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: She proposes to nationalize every major business in the United States of America. If successful, it would constitute the largest seizure of private property in human history.

Warren’s proposal is dishonestly called the “Accountable Capitalism Act.” Accountable to whom? you might ask. That’s a reasonable question. The answer is — as it always is — accountable to politicians, who desire to put the assets and productivity of private businesses under political discipline for their own selfish ends. It is remarkable that people who are most keenly attuned to the self-interest of CEOs and shareholders and the ways in which that self-interest influences their decisions apparently believe that members of the House, senators, presidents, regulators, Cabinet secretaries, and agency chiefs somehow are liberated from self-interest when they take office through some kind of miracle of transcendence.

Under Senator Warren’s proposal, no business with more than $1 billion in revenue would be permitted to legally operate without permission from the federal government. The federal government would then dictate to these businesses the composition of their boards, the details of internal corporate governance, compensation practices, personnel policies, and much more. Naturally, their political activities would be restricted, too. Senator Warren’s proposal entails the wholesale expropriation of private enterprise in the United States, and nothing less. It is unconstitutional, unethical, immoral, irresponsible, and — not to put too fine a point on it — utterly bonkers.

New Coalition Forms to Combat Censorship of Conservative Speech Online

– In response to the continued restriction and censorship of conservatives and their organizations by tech giants Facebook, Twitter, Google and YouTube, the Media Research Center (MRC) along with 14 leading conservative organizations announced Tuesday the formation of a new, permanent coalition, Conservatives Against Online Censorship.
Conservatives Against Online Censorship will draw attention to the issue of political censorship on social media. This new coalition will urge Facebook, Twitter, Google and YouTube to address the four following key areas of concern:
Provide Transparency: We need detailed information so everyone can see if liberal groups and users are being treated the same as those on the right. Social media companies operate in a black-box environment, only releasing anecdotes about reports on content and users when they think it necessary. This needs to change. The companies need to design open systems so that they can be held accountable, while giving weight to privacy concerns.
Provide Clarity on ‘Hate Speech’: “Hate speech” is a common concern among social media companies, but no two firms define it the same way. Their definitions are vague and open to interpretation, and their interpretation often looks like an opportunity to silence thought. Today, hate speech means anything liberals don’t like. Silencing those you disagree with is dangerous. If companies can’t tell users clearly what it is, then they shouldn’t try to regulate it.
Provide Equal Footing for Conservatives: Top social media firms, such as Google and YouTube, have chosen to work with dishonest groups that are actively opposed to the conservative movement, including the Southern Poverty Law Center. Those companies need to make equal room for conservative groups as advisers to offset this bias. That same attitude should be applied to employment diversity efforts. Tech companies need to embrace viewpoint diversity.
Mirror the First Amendment: Tech giants should afford their users nothing less than the free speech and free exercise of religion embodied in the First Amendment as interpreted by the U.S. Supreme Court. That standard, the result of centuries of American jurisprudence, would enable the rightful blocking of content that threatens violence or spews obscenity, without trampling on free speech liberties that have long made the United States a beacon for freedom.
“Social media is the most expansive and most game-changing form of communication today. It is these facts that make online political censorship one of the largest threats to free speech we have ever seen. Conservatives should be given the same ability to express their political ideas online as liberals, without the fear of being suppressed or censored,” said Media Research Center President Brent Bozell.
“Meaningful debate only happens when both sides are given equal footing. Freedom of speech, regardless of ideological leaning, is something Americans hold dear. Facebook, Twitter and all other social media companies must acknowledge this and work to rectify these concerns unless they want to lose all credibility with the conservative movement. As leaders of this effort, we are launching this coalition to make sure that the recommendations we put forward on behalf of the conservative movement are followed through.”
The Media Research Center sent letters to representatives at Facebook, Twitter, Google and YouTube last week asking each company to address these complaints and begin a conversation about how they can repair their credibility within the conservative movement. As of Tuesday, only Facebook has issued a formal response.

Sanctimonious ‘Morning Joe’ Crew Goes Full Religion to Blast Trump

Liberals love to lecture us about not mixing politics with religion. Apparently this holds true for them except when they can use religion to blast conservatives and President Donald Trump. Especially Trump. Such was the case on Thursday’s Morning Joe, which sounded more like Holy Joe, when they used heavy dollops of religious imagery to slam Trump to the extent that it was suggested that you are committing idolatry if you even dare to support him.

Holy Joe Scarborough set the tone by reading from an E.J. Dionne column which also shamelessly used religion as a basis to criticize Trump. He was followed by guest Eddie Glaude, a professor of religion and African-American studies at Prince who — as MRC’s Nicholas Fondacaro pointed out on May 14 — went on an extreme anti-Israel tirade for that nation daring to defend itself against violence organized by the Hamas terrorist organization.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: You flagged a column by EJ Dionne in the Washington Post and it’s about Christian leaders who are calling out what they’re calling the heresy of Trumpism and it’s been led in large part by the Reverend Michael Curry who we just heard there preaching of course for the royal couple this past weekend. Now today a group of Christians are going to be marching on the White House for a candlelight vigil and they’ve released a joint joy declaration about the quote dangerous crisis of moral and political leadership at the highest levels of our government. The opening paragraph reads quote we believe the soul of the nation and the integrity of faith are now at stake. Let’s bring in Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Jon Meacham. He’s the author of the new best-selling book The Soul of America the Battle for Our Better Angels. And Jon, we’ll get you in one moment but Eddie there’s a great find with EJ’s column because it does appear that there are some evangelical leaders that are willing that, well to paraphrase Jesus to be the salt and the light of this world.

See, it’s beyond political according to liberals now. It is actually heresy and many of them, including those on the Morning Joe set, would love to play the part of latter day Torquemadas to rid the world of what they consider to be political heresy.

EDDIE GLAUDE: Yeah Joe. They they are exemplifying what you’ve been talking about on this show for a while and those are those Matthew:25 Christians and so here we have Bishop Currie and Jim Wallace of sojourners organizing a candlelight vigil on the White House in order to suggest that the way in which Trump has and and some evangelicals who support Trump have enlisted, drafted Jesus and his ministry to support his policies to support his mean-spiritedness actually represents in some ways a kind of idolatry and they want to put forward a vision of Jesus, a vision of Christianity that is really concerned with the least of these. This really concern with matters of justice and love because in fact justice is what love looks like in public.

Get it? The sore loser left is so upset that they lost the election that they now mean-spiritedly brand Trump supporters as committing idolatry. And now we have the economics-challenged former Newsweek editor Jon Meacham who fully agrees that supporting Trump makes you guilty of idolatry.

JON MEACHAM: Well, to me it’s a fascinating moment. Brings up you know what what profited a man to gain the whole world if you if you lose your soul. The broad evangelical movement as we’re describing it basically has made a really shrewd political bet but it is a political bet. They are playing a 40-year strategy at the expense of their integrity for four years. They’re supporting President Trump for the Supreme Court for the judiciary and they want to get these young appointees they want to get them for decades and they’re willing to really put their otherwise consistent views aside for that purpose and I think Eddie used exactly the right word. It’s idolatry. It’s putting a temporal force, a temporal advantage ahead of spiritual integrity.

Sheesh! Get over it, Jon! Your side lost and now you can’t accept the election results. So as whiny sore losers you shamelessly use religion to attack Trump and lash out at those who do support him as succumbing to idolatry.

The rest of the segment features Holy Joe and Glaude with Mike Barnicle chiming in to join a hallelujah chorus in their role as liberal dueling pastors to sanctimoniously condemn Trump and those idolaters who dare to support him.

 

How ‘Far-Left Propaganda Machine’ SPLC Got ADF Expelled by Amazon

Alliance Defending Freedom has won seven cases at the U.S. Supreme Court in as many years, including one that upheld an Arizona school choice program and another that prevented the state of Missouri from discriminating against a Christian preschool.

The legal powerhouse, which fights for religious freedom, is awaiting decisions in two more landmark free speech cases it argued this term before the high court. It is counted as one of the most successful legal advocacy organizations in the country.

But even that stellar record was not enough to prevent Alliance Defending Freedom from being banned from participating in AmazonSmile, which allows Amazon.com customers to contribute “0.5% of eligible purchases” to “almost one million eligible 501(c)(3) public charitable organizations.”

ADF had been one of those charities since the 2013 launch of AmazonSmile until recently, when those who had assigned the legal organization as their charity were notified that it was no longer eligible.

The reason? Southern Poverty Law Center.

Those who had selected ADF as their charity received the following explanation of why they’d no longer be able to give to the religious freedom group through the program:

“The AmazonSmile Participation Agreement states that certain categories of organizations are not eligible to participate in AmazonSmile. We rely on the Southern Poverty Law Center to determine which charities are in certain ineligible categories. You have been excluded from the AmazonSmile program because the Southern Poverty Law Center lists Alliance Defending Freedom in an ineligible category.”

For those unfamiliar with SPLC, they are the hysteria-stokers responsible for producing a slanderous list of “hate groups” that lumps together actual violent extremists with respectable organizations such as Alliance Defending Freedom and the Family Research Council and with international human rights activists such as Maajid Nawaz and Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

So, the “ineligible category” to which Amazon’s statement refers is really nothing more than a hit list of groups and people SPLC disagrees with. Amazon’s decision to rely on the false accusations of such a bad actor is inexplicable.

In response to the ban, Alliance Defending Freedom’s CEO, Michael Farris, sent a letter urging entrepreneur and philanthropist Jeff Bezos’ Amazon to reconsider its alliance with the widely discredited Southern Poverty Law Center:

“Although the SPLC did good work many years ago, it has devolved into a far-left propaganda machine that slanders organizations with which it disagrees and destroys the possibility of civil discourse in the process. The group has been discredited by investigative journalists and charity watchdogs as a ‘direct mail scam’ that has seen its leaders amass enormous fortunes. It is no surprise that the United States Department of Defense and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have severed ties with the SPLC.”

Lest one think that Southern Poverty Law Center is a misunderstood group of would-be do-gooders just trying to provide a public service, but not quite hitting the mark, consider the words of a senior executive, Mark Potok, who said: “Sometimes the press will describe us as monitoring hate crimes and so on … I want to say plainly that our aim in life is to destroy these groups, to completely destroy them.” (Emphasis mine.)

By its own admission, SPLC is in the game not to inform, but to obliterate. Nice set of friends you have there, Mr. Bezos.

“Southern Poverty Law Center spends its time and money attacking veterans, nuns, Muslims who oppose terrorism, Catholics, evangelicals, and anyone else who dares disagree with its far-left ideology,” ADF Senior Vice President Kristen K. Waggoner said. “Meanwhile, ADF works every day to preserve and affirm free speech and the free exercise of religion for people from all walks of life and all backgrounds because we believe freedom is for everyone.”

I can affirm the truth in the above statement, as I spent 13 years working alongside Kristen and many other honorable people at Alliance Defending Freedom. From firsthand experience, I know ADF is committed to building freedom’s future, while Southern Poverty Law Center is hell-bent on vaporizing any opposing views.

With SPLC having been repeatedly exposed as a huckster racket for decades by voices from across the ideological spectrum, it is mind-boggling that one of the largest companies in the world would align itself with its destructive bigotry.

How Liberal’s Hate-Fest Poisons Young Minds

This has all been accomplished thanks to republicanism. Leftists loathe America. For the entire history of America Democrats have advocated for a king to rule the masses rather than a president to serve. They forced slavery to be in the Constitution, fought a war to keep their slaves, oppressed freed slaves for the next century making laws against them, and now they have devised a way to own them by deceiving them to get their votes voluntarily.

President Trump is doing this nation a great service and a world of good. The liberal media doesn’t care. They only care about advancing the socialist dictatorship agenda of the Democrats. For that they must present fake news and lies while slandering others as fake news and liars. Ignorant liberals who don’t look beyond the headlines fall easy prey to their manipulations. They are brainwashed to not listen to the truth, and they are directed to reject the truth and only follow the Big Lies of the Left like lemmings. These younglings and older fools readily believe ridiculous lies like global warming and beneficial socialism. Education is always the key. People who don’t know where they came from have no clue where they’re going. That’s why leftists want to keep them ignorant, so they can lead them down the road to Hell. These swindlers have realized that the best way to enslave people is to deceive them into choosing to be slaves. They accomplish this by pretending to be trying to help them, and then blaming others for the disasters they create. Democrats have been doing this for decades and only a few of the some of the people that can be fooled all the time have opened their eyes to how they have been misled.
